Sensors: From Animation to Rehabilitation

Book Tickets Here

Wearable sensors are becoming more and more common in our day to day lives, from the accelerometer in your smart phone to blood sugar monitors used by Diabetics. Our SPIN research group at Cardiff University are using different sensors to investigate their potential for the clinical rehabilitation and remote monitoring of different types of patients.

Come along to get an introduction to this research, see some demonstrations of wearable sensor use as well as a glance at how this technology is used to make your favourite animated films or games!

Families and people of all ages welcome! However, children will need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. We will run short interactive sessions between 11:00 and 15:00. If you are interested in coming, please select tickets from one of the 8 x 30-minute time slots on our Eventbrite page, so that we can gauge the level of interest and capacity.

This will be within the Wyndham Street Hall of South Riverside Community Development Centre, Brunel Street, Cardiff, CF11 6ES
