Authentic yet light-hearted chat about medicines and the people behind them

The Aural Apothecaries are three pharmacists who share banter and conversation with guests from across the world of healthcare. We invite them to offer up a life changing book, a career anthem and a Desert Island Drug – a medicine that has changed their life. Previous guests have included Times Columnist Dr Mark Porter, the ‘Menopause Doctor’ Dr Louise Newson and British Lion John Devereux.

In this, our first ever live show, we want to understand the patient’s point of view. We invite Jamie Brewster, who recently completed treatment for leukaemia, to join us to talk about the various treatments and medicines he has received. He will talk about how his experience as a patient and an architect has led him to question the nature of the inpatient environment and how he has developed solutions that could improve healing and aid recovery.

We promise this will be a fascinating story – with a few laughs thrown in for good measure. Who knows – you might even want to tell your own story?
