FameLab
FameLab is an international science communication competition where scientists and engineers to share their enthusiasm for research with the public. Cardiff Science Festival will host the annual Cardiff Heat.
FameLab has seen thousands of scientists and engineers communicate their work to the public through 3 minute long presentations. The winners of each regional final go to the national final and the winner of those goes to the international final! The presenters receive free training to help develop their communication skills and build their confidence.
Cardiff Science Festival is happy to announce that from 2021 we will be hosting the Cardiff regional heat! We are excited to support local researchers with a passion for science communication and show the rest of the world what Cardiff and Wales can do!
If you’re interested in taking part then you can do so through the FameLab website. If you don’t want to take part then come along and watch participants and learn about their amazing research. We’ll be announcing details of when, where and how you can watch the regional heat in January 2021, so keep an eye out on our website and social media.
